"The fast pace of our lives makes it difficult for us to find grace in the present moment,

and when the simple gifts at our fingertips cease to nourish us,

we have a tendency to crave the sensational."

Who SimpliFine® Is

In January 1998, SimpliFine® was created with the intention of helping people declutter and get more organized.  Rebecca’s organizing is based on the principles of simplicity, intentionality, good stewardship of the earth as well as good stewardship of what we choose to own.  Organizing one’s possessions and time is a way towards living a life of deeper fulfillment as one is less distracted by the clutter of things and activities.

As Rebecca was forming her business, she joined the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), which is the preeminent organization for and of professional organizers in the country.  She has attended numerous conferences to continue her education and training as well as to network with other organizers across the country and the world.  As a strong believer in collegiality, she also joined the North Carolina chapter of NAPO.

As SimpliFine® has grown and evolved, Rebecca realized that many of her clients had needs beyond how to simply re-organize their closet or kitchen - they were part of the population that is termed, ‘chronically disorganized’.  These people have dealt with disorganization all of their lives despite all of their efforts to fix it and have had it negatively interfere with their quality of life.  In 2002, Rebecca joined the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (now the Institute for Challenging Disorganization -ICD) to better understand this portion of her clientele base as well as to further expand and strengthen her organizing skills.

The ICD (formally the NSGCD) offers a great deal of continuing education.  Rebecca has earned the CD, ADD and Hoarding Specialist certificates as well as her CPO-CD® certification, an 18-month-long in depth educational program to become a certified professional organizer in chronic disorganization.

SimpliFine offers a variety of services – depending on the needs and goals of each client.  The basic service that is offered to every client is an assessment of their situation – along with ideas and possible solutions for the particular circumstance.  Services vary from the basic one-time assessment to working with a client for years in a chronically disorganized situation.  The foundation of all of the services is to teach clients organizing skills that will benefit them for the long-term.  Rebecca’s compassion for her clients and their struggles with disorganization is evident in the efforts she puts into her work.

What is a Professional Organizer?

Professional organizers assist people in getting their workspaces and lives organized and simplified.  This assistance involves various services personalized to the needs of the client.

SimpliFine® provides on-site assistance in organizing, planning, decluttering, designing systems and simplifying.  Considerable time is taken at the beginning of each project to define and clarify the particular needs of each individual client.  Consultations continue throughout the work to be certain that the right solution is found.

As a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and the Institute for Challenging Disorganization, Rebecca is committed to a professional code of ethics for her work with clients, colleagues and the community.  Client confidentiality is a top priority.
